The aim of the research project is to develop the EMBRYOAID application. Based on artificial intelligence algorithms, EMBRYOAID is capable of helping couples who have problems getting pregnant during IVF treatment.

About the project

At MIM Solutions we are working on building EMBRYOAID – a precise support tool based on artificial intelligence to help each embryologist choose the most promising embryo to be transferred to the patient during the IVF procedure. 

The EMBRYOAID system will fully automatically rank embryos based on a large collection of time-lapse photos of human embryos.

In our work, we combine the latest achievements in the field of reproductive medicine and artificial intelligence.

EMBRYOAID contributes to improvement of in vitro treatment’s effectiveness.

Results of the project will be used by fertility clinics around the world. EMBRYOAID will be the answer to their well-identified need – to increase time and cost savings while increasing the effectiveness of the assisted reproduction method.

The key feature of EMBRYOAID, which is its competitive advantage over the currently known solutions, is the explainability of ML/DL algorithms used for video analysis.

This means that our solution provides results that are fully interpretable for both healthcare professionals and patients.

EMBRYOAID is tested at the KRIOBANK infertility treatment clinic.

  2. The algorithm automatically detects characteristic points in the development of the cell.
  3. The algorithm correctly finds the key features.
  4. The system reduces the number of fertilization cycles to be expected.
MARCH 2021

STAGE 2. ANALYSIS OF THE EMBRYO'S POTENTIAL IN THE EARLY STAGE OF DEVELOPMENT

  1. High quality predictive algorithm for blastocyst development.
  2. Automatic detection of different development classes.
  3. Reduce the expected time of embryo breeding.
  4. High quality of the predictive algorithm on new data.
